Infobip Marketplace - Partner Experience

Infobip has quickly become the worlds most connected cloud communication platform. One important aspect to any enterprise platform is a strong and easy to use marketplace for applications and integrations to expand functionality, create partnerships, add value, and create stickiness.

  • To begin the process of design for this project it was important we met with customers to understand what other platforms they used for their businesses. We considered the platforms we used within Infobip and I wanted to interview developers and app designers from partners who successfully built their own marketplaces such as Slack and Salesforce.

  • Using the information from the interviews we built out an affinity diagram to define what was important to the personas involved:

    •The end-user

    •The app developers

It boiled down to Discovery, Trust, and Convenience. This needed to operate within our SaaS platform and needed to be self-service driven.

  • To begin I worked closely with the Product Managers to develop low fidelity wireframes for the customer-facing marketplace area of the platform. Once I understood what was necessary for this section it made the wireframes for the developer section easier to create. I understood all of the necessary information that I needed to collect form a developer in order to have a consistent display within the marketplace.

  • After the low fidelity wireframes were complete. I applied our design system to create high fidelity flows. I worked with developers to define error states, empty states, skeletons, and brainstorm solutions to technical constraints.

Final results

The partner experience is being launched in early 2022. Tests have shown positive feedback and we are hopeful on the launch. We have used this design for internal beta testing by creating our own internal apps. A final wireframe images can be found here and video below.
